Bio

Velvet Revolver was officially formed around June 8 2003. The band is driven by Slash, Duff, and Mat Sorum formerly of Guns N Roses. They all three wanted to work together again so they went on a search for a lead singer, and another guitarist. The new guitarist they chose is Dave Kushner from Suicidal Tendencies. They interviewed many singer's including Sabastien Bach of Skid Row. They Finally decided on Scott Weiland of Stone Temple Pilots. Scott insists that STP has not broken up and he will perform with both bands.

They made their live debut on June 19 at the celebrity-filled El Rey Theater in Los Angeles. The band kicked off their six-song set with the (#1) Sex Pistols' "Bodies." (#2)  "Set Me Free," their single from the Hulk soundtrack, (#3) "Sex Type Thing", (#4) "It's So Easy", (#5) "Slither" and ended with a (#6) Nirvana cover tune "Negative Creep,"
